I had a 4 megapixel Canon PowerShot for years but decided to get a new one when I found out I was going to be a father and wanted the best quality photos I could get without paying too much. I opted for another Canon PowerShot--the A640 which is a 10 megapixel camera. I am very pleased with the new camera. Just like my older model, the new PowerShot is SO easy to use and delivers amazing photos. While I bought the camera because it was a 10 megapixel Canon, I got an overwhelmingly large number of options for taking photos. I'm just a point-and-shot kind of guy but had fun playing with the options. Canon makes reliable, easy-to-use digital cameras and I would recommend the PowerShot line.
