The footboards can be installed in any of three positions for passenger comfort. A plastic plug in the upper hole can be removed.For 2009 and earlier Touring motorcycles: The lowest hole is not usable because the hole is not threaded. [Enhanced Rider and Passenger Comfort]This mount kit moves the passenger’s foot rearward and inward to give the rider more space between the rider footboard and the passenger foot support. The new position clears the path for your feet to ease walking the bike in and out of parking spaces. When folded, the pegs are tighter to the bike to reduce the chance of contacting the passenger foot support with your calf.
