Excerpt: ...he shall forthwith leave the said receipt with the Clerk of the Peace who shall accordingly indorse thereupon a memorandum of the day on which the same was received by him, and when such receipt shall be so indorsed it shall be taken for all purposes to have been duly recorded on the date so indorsed thereon. 172. In the case of stocks, the persons filing the affidavit, or any of them, may, upon the receipt of the before-mentioned certificate, transfer the stocks into the joint names of the Judge and of the Clerk of the Peace in trust to attend the orders of the Court, and shall forthwith leave the certificate of transfer with the Clerk of the Peace to be filed who shall immediately indorse thereon a memorandum of the day on which the same was received by him, and when such certificate of transfer shall be so indorsed it shall be taken for all purposes to have been duly recorded on the day so indorsed thereon. 173. In the case of any security, not provided for by the foregoing rules, the person filing the affidavit may apply to the Judge for directions as to the mode in which the same shall be lodged or deposited, and the acknowledgment or certificate of the Clerk of the Peace that such moneys or stocks or securities have been paid or transferred, or that such order of the Judge has been complied with, shall be a sufficient discharge to such persons for the moneys, stocks, funds, or securities so paid, transferred, or deposited. 174.
