There is a series of "DIP" switches (4) as shown in the picture. Slide the switches on the new Hampton Bay ceiling fan remote to make them match the pattern of the original remote. If you have multiple ceiling fans in your home, make sure the PIN settings are different between them, otherwise it is likely that the transmitter next door is activating the ceiling fan in your bedroom.
