Appearance: Guaiacum sanctum is a slow-growing tree that typically reaches a height of 20-33 feet with a spread of 10-16 feet. It has a dense, rounded canopy with shiny, leathery, dark green foliage. The tree produces small, fragrant, blue or violet flowers with five petals. Preparing the seeds: Soak the seeds in warm water for 24 to 48 hours before planting. This helps to soften the seed coat and promote germination. Choose a container: Select a pot or seed tray with good drainage. Fill it with a well-draining potting mix. A mix of peat moss, perlite, and vermiculite can work well. Planting the seeds: Sow the soaked seeds on the surface of the potting mix. Gently press them into the soil, but do not bury them deeply as they require light for germination. Provide ideal conditions: Place the container in a warm and bright location with indirect sunlight. The ideal temperature for germination is around 70-80°F. Guaiacum sanctum prefers a warm and tropical climate.
