The Battle of Fort Pillow or the Fort Pillow Massacre 12 April 1864 at Henning Tennessee United States of America during the American Civil War. An outnumbered Union garrison in Fort Pillow surrendered to a Confederate force which kept killing even after all resistance had stopped.
