FLAT HEAD: A great way to flatten and harden wire and sheet metal is by using the round face, flat surface of the nylon hammer. The shape flattens the wire while strengthening it. This is handy for larger pieces and creating jewelry designs with beading or craft wires. REPLACEMENT HEADS: Because nylon is meant to protect your metal and wire, these surfaces will become worn over time. The faces of this mallet can easily be removed with a half turn.
